Proactively Serve Your Neighborhood as a Church

Tim Keller’s advice on deaconal ministry. Look for:

  1. Elderly
  2. Chronically Sick
  3. Single-parent family
  4. Prisoners
  5. New-Immigrants

Do deed-word ministry to them and you’ll see some come to faith and see some get help. Your neighborhood will see that and you’ll gain credibility. If you are only reactive and spend your time with only 4-5 hurting families you won’t get all the benefits that can accrue to the rest of the church’s ministry from diaconal ministry.
